descriptive epidemiology! is that it ?
it is really funny how we did manage-and excuse me for saying this word"manage"-the problem of bird flu down here .the condition became endemic and day after day , the mortality rate is increasing..i guess we are shifting now from the incidence rate to the daily rate , we just count, no one tells you how you can manage and how u can face , this is our first virus , what will come next? they say that the problem is the culture in the society , so , if we make some analysis , why we never face the problem well and tell the whole truth ?why we have no statistics?why the data are irrelevant ? and what the hell that we are just managing the problem by just saying " descriptive epidemiology"? this term really annoyes me and when i asked about it , i was faced by the moquery and the sarcasm of the "group"-excuse me for the second time- this is supposed to be a focus group and no one was focusing really - i guess they were thinking only about the coffee break -i will not let them put me down , so i still ask and when i correlate what we manage with how abroad they do act , i was faced again by the silly words that the "lecturer"thought that by telling them he will make people laugh , i just stopped talking -i will get the chance to get you down and you "lecturer"know that , but i decided not to take this situation as personal coz you mean nothing and nobody for me , so i kept the idea of managing a disease before it is becoming endemic -and there was a real answer and came from abroad : i was just moving from one channel to another and i found on mbc4 the answer: i have seen how they did manage in "medical investigation" the cases with anthrax and how they trace the source of infection and never centered on bioterrorism idea , and how they never stopped on the "description" and they analyse then act.this is the real difference between us and them , this is the answer dear "lecturer", they ACT .
