Empire of the sun

directed by steven spielberg , one of the best movies you can watch in ur life ,it speaks about the period of time between 1941 and 1945..the best scene is when the leader actor thought that he has seen a soul leaving the body of one of his friends at the camp..he saw light at the sky , a beautiful light..but it was the atomic bomb thrown in Japan..this movie has evoqued lots of old memories in my mind, first i remembered when the british council was putting down his old library and was selling all books and videos..i was there perplexed between buying the movie spellbound for hitchcock and that one-empire of the sun- and i bought the one for alfred..then i remembered the old friend that has invited me for her birthday and made me taste carrot cake for the first time in my life and i gave her as a gift a novel written by ahdaf soweif..the name of the sun was mentioned in it as well..she was extremely happy and she was eager to have this novel for few weeks..she showered me with kisses..i never thought about this issue,that she loved this writer so much..i was happy to be watching this movie today morning on mbc2..really worth watching..i guess this movie also urged me to start reading the good earth and to try to watch grapes of wrath!
